MOUNDS, Ill. -- Sylvia Ellen Ferguson, 90, Mounds Route 1, died Monday, Oct. 28, 1996, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She was born in Grand Chain. She married Otho Ferguson. Ferguson had been a caseworker with Illinois Department of Public Aid. She was a member of Pilgrim Congregational Church in Mound City, and Mounds Business and Professional Women's Club...

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Sylvia Ellen Ferguson, 90, Mounds Route 1, died Monday, Oct. 28, 1996, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born in Grand Chain. She married Otho Ferguson.

Ferguson had been a caseworker with Illinois Department of Public Aid. She was a member of Pilgrim Congregational Church in Mound City, and Mounds Business and Professional Women's Club.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Juanita Miller, Mounds Route 1; a son, Homer Ferguson of Chesterfield, Mo.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Ellison officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Grand Chain.
