Terry E. Crowell, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Oct. 6, 2023.

He was born Oct. 12, 1941, in Marquand, Missouri, to Hughey and Dorothy Mouser Crowell. He and Terry A. Rose were married April 19, 1969, at Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. Terry and Terry celebrated 51 years of marriage before she passed in 2020.

Terry was a 1960 graduate of Poplar Bluff (Missouri) High School. He joined the U.S. Air Force in July 1960. He was honorably discharged from active and reserve duty in July 1966. Terry served 13 months in Korea.

Terry retired in August 2008 after 40 years working for Associated Building Centers (Huttig). A longtime member of Centenary Methodist Church, Terry served in a variety of leadership roles with his wife. He was a past president of Cape Girardeau Kiwanis Club and past president of Cape Girardeau Country Club.

He is survived by sons, Jason (Casey) Crowell of Cape Girardeau and Josh (Theresa) Crowell of Jackson; granddaughters, Morgan (Brian) Russell of St. Peters, Missouri, Isabella, Alaina and Sophia Crowell of Jackson and Laura Bertrand of Los Angeles; and great-granddaughters, Sloane and Sutton Russell of St. Peters. He is also survived by his sisters, Barbara Neeley of Poplar Bluff and Martha (Ronnie) Kimberlin and Karen (Robert) Ragsdale, both of Atlanta; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Stephen Crowell.

A joint celebration of life for Terry E. and Terry A. Crowell (1947-2020) will be held at a later date announced by the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, 300 N. Ellis St., Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
