Mr. Terry Wayne Miller, 65, of 2825 Hendricks Church Road, Thomaston, Ga., died early Thursday morning at his residence.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at the First United Methodist Church of Thomaston, with the Rev. Charles Bennett officiating. Graveside committal service will be held at 2 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park in Macon, Ga.

Mr. Miller was born Feb. 4, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, to the late George and Mary Moore Miller.

He was formerly employed with the Georgia Department of Transportation, where he worked in the Right-of-Way Department 34 years. Mr. Miller was a member of First United Methodist Church of Thomaston. He was also a member of the U.S. Team Roping Association.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Phyllis Peacock Miller of Thomaston; a son, Mr. Jedediah Cote (Brandi) Miller of Lizella, Ga.; a stepson, Mr. Christopher Warren of Atlanta; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Jennifer (Eric) Scarborough of Lizella; a brother, Mr. Lynn (Becki) Miller of Cape Girardeau; and sisters, Mrs. Vicki (R.J.) McKinney and Mrs. Jill (Mitchell) Halbert, both of Cape Girardeau; and two stepgrandchildren. He will also be greatly missed by "Indian," his faithful horse for over 22 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 135-B Bradford Square, Fayetteville, Ga., 30215.

Coggins Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of arrangements.
