Theresa Ponder

PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Theresa E. Ponder, 77, of Perryville died Friday, July 4, 2008.

She was born March 4, 1931, in Biehle, Mo., daughter of August and Caroline Bohnert Renner. She and Anton "Tony" Ponder were married May 4, 1947, in Biehle.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Tim Ponder of Perryville; a brother, Aloysius "Buddy" Renner of Perryville; and a sister, Catherine Hitt of Granite City, Ill.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

A VFW service will be at 6:30 p.m. today at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville, and parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Al Hoernig officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
