SIKESTON -- John Thomas Bailey, 52, of Fenton died Friday, Sept. 6, 1996, at the home of a brother in Sikeston. He was born Aug. 16, 1944, in Sikeston, son of Ralph Emerson and Olga "Zinnie" Boyette Bailey Jr. Bailey moved to Decatur, Ill., where he graduated from high school in 1962. He later moved to Kirkwood, and had lived in Fenton since 1970...

SIKESTON -- John Thomas Bailey, 52, of Fenton died Friday, Sept. 6, 1996, at the home of a brother in Sikeston.

He was born Aug. 16, 1944, in Sikeston, son of Ralph Emerson and Olga "Zinnie" Boyette Bailey Jr.

Bailey moved to Decatur, Ill., where he graduated from high school in 1962. He later moved to Kirkwood, and had lived in Fenton since 1970.

He formerly owned and operated a marina on the Meramec River at Fenton, and formerly worked at the Chrysler Assembly Plant in St. Louis.

Survivors include his mother of Sikeston; a brother, Ralph Bailey III of Sikeston; two sisters, Sue Isaacs of St. Louis and Brenda Springs of Jefferson City.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 6-8 p.m. today, and after 11 a.m. Sunday.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sikeston City Cemetery, with the Rev. Ed Pangburn officiating.
