SIKESTON, Mo. — Timothy Eual Heacox Jaynes, 38, of Sikeston died Sunday, July 27, 2008, in the Emergency Room at Missouri Delta Medical Center, following an acute heart attack. SIKESTON, Mo. — Timothy Eual Heacox Jaynes, 38, of Sikeston died Sunday, July 27, 2008, in the Emergency Room at Missouri Delta Medical Center, following an acute heart attack.

He was born April 3, 1970, in Sikeston, son of Eual "Butch" Heacox and Betty Newton Jaynes. He and Christy Brown were married Nov. 24, 1994, in Las Vegas.

Jaynes had been a photographer with the Standard Democrat newspaper since 1989 and also owned Jaynes Photography.

He attended Sikeston High School and graduated in 1988 from Thayer High School in Thayer, Mo. He attended Southeast Missouri State University.

Jaynes attended First United Methodist Church, was involved with the Standard Democrat Christmas Campaign many years, served on the board of directors of Kenny Rogers Children's Center and worked on the annual Kenny Rogers Telethon.

He was a member of Sikeston Jaycees and had been involved with the Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo since 1996. He had served as a secretary and a vice president of the Jaycee Club Executive Board.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Morgan Jaynes of the home; a daughter, Rory Jaynes of the home; his mother of Chaffee, Mo.; his father of Eureka, Mo.; five brothers, Bill Baker and Eric Heacox of St. Louis, Matt, Mark and Grant Jaynes of Chaffee; and a sister, Brooke Jaynes of Chaffee.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Geoff Posecate officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery at Dogwood, Mo.
