MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Victor Eugene Crater Jr., 77, of Marble Hill died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at his home.
He was born Aug. 10, 1928, in Bernardsville, N.J., son of Victor E. and Bertha Quint Mill Crater Sr. He and Florence Conklin were married Nov. 22, 1995, in Warwick, N.Y. She died in July 1999.
Crater was a production worker at Union Carbide in Boundbrook, N.J.
He had lived in Marble Hill six years and was a member of Harmony Congregational Methodist Church.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include three stepsons, Robert Morgan of Marble Hill, Mark Morgan of Franklin, N.J., Charles Morgan of Bridgewater, N.J.; three stepdaughters, Mae Gayle of Franklin, Patricia Galloway of Eden, N.C., Adrienne Tamaccio of Laurens, N.Y.; 18 stepgrandchildren; and eight great-stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call at Hutchings Funeral Chapel from 11 a.m. Saturday until time of service.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Ross officiating.
