Vincent Thomas Blaylock, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, May 19, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 4, 1914, in McClure, Ill., the son of Marshall and Lily Rose Vinson Blaylock. He married Margaret Brasher, who preceded him in death in 1989. He later married Norma Foster Ford on May 10, 1996, in Scott City.
Mr. Blaylock had lived in Cape since the late 1930s. He was a member of First Assembly of God. In addition, he had worked for 37 years at Marquette and Lone Star Cement in maintenance.
Mr. Blaylock is survived by his wife, Norma Ford Blaylock of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Judith A. Ryan of Springfield; three stepsons, Tom Ford of Raymore, Jerry Ford of East Alton, Ill., and Jim Ford of New Philadelphia, Ohio; two granddaughters, Lynn Ryan of St. Louis and Kas Ryan of Memphis, Tenn; and a great-granddaughter, Lindsay Margaret.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel Friday, 4-8 p.m. Funeral service will be at the chapel on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Revs. Charles Lance and Gary Brothers officiating. Burial will follow in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to First Assembly of God Building Fund.
