STE. GENEVIEVE -- Funeral for Vincent Ellsworth Wall of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 1 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Patton. The Rev. Kirby Grindstaff and Roger Wall will officiate. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time.

Wall, 83, died Thursday, April 1, 1999, at his home.

He was born Sept. 5, 1915, in St. Louis, son of Richard B. and Frances Hemm Wall. He and Agnes Smith were married Sept. 10, 1942. She died Jan. 20, 1999.

Wall had been a communications specialist with the federal government. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include a son, Roger Wall of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters, Jeanette Steinner of Florissant, Laura Stukel of St. Louis; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and a grandson.
