MARBLE HILL -- Funeral for Viola L. Rhodes of Marble Hill will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Randy Poole will officiate, with burial in Plainview Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Sunday.

Rhodes, 61, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 13, 1936, at Bessville, daughter of William R. and Anna L. Zinn Robins. She and Junior Oscar Rhodes were married Sept. 18, 1955, in Cape Girardeau. He died Nov. 25, 1991.

Rhodes was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Marla Stroup of Bloomfield, Carol Rhodes of Marble Hill; a son, Myron Rhodes of Lawrence, Kan.; four sisters, Caroline Smith of Fayetteville, Ark., Virginia Potter of Lubbock, Texas, Florence Barton and Irene Siar of House Springs.

Also surviving are six brothers, Ivan, Lawrence, Monroe, Lester, Everett and Gerald Robins, all of Marble Hill; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
