Viola Marie Sadler, 87, of Chesterfield, Mo., formerly of Burfordville, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Sunrise Senior Living in Chesterfield.
She was born Nov. 8, 1926, in Gordonville, to Leo Edward and Freda Maag Nussbaum. She and Leroy Harrison Sadler were married Nov. 10, 1946. He died March 22, 2010.
Viola graduated from Jackson High School in 1944. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit.
Survivors include three sons, Charles (Shirley) Sadler of Burfordville, Albert (Cindy) Sadler of Jackson and Jeff (Kelle) Sadler of Manes, Mo.; six daughters, Loretta (Crawford) Moss of O'Fallon, Mo., Janice (Daniel) Noel of Ballwin, Mo., Carolyn (Kenneth) Jansen and Pam (Jeffrey) Hankins of Jackson and Joann Palmer and Edith (Bill) Cobb of Burfordville; a brother, Robert Nussbaum of Jackson; five sisters, Vanna Hoyt and Joann Burns of Jackson, Faye Amelunke of Cape Girardeau, Lora Henk of Ironton, Mo., and Gladys Kraemer of St. Charles, Mo.; 24 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Rudolph and Truman "Butch" Nussbaum; three sisters, Dorothy Mateka, Nelda Craft and Colleen Wiesenborn.
Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to service time Saturday at Immanuel Church in Tilsit.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Mark Boettcher officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
