ANNA, Ill. -- Viola Tinsley, 74, of Danville, Ill., died Saturday, April 10, 2004, at the PUS Medical Center in Danville.

She was born March 13, 1930, in Anna, daughter of Jasper and Maude Nimmo Young. She and Farrell Tinsley were married July 2, 1950.

Tinsley was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Danville.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, James Tinsley of Danville and John Tinsley of Kankakee, Ill.; four daughters, Judy Tinsley and Marritta Jordan, both of Danville, Donna Giffen of Champaign, Ill., and Cynthia Porter of Oakwood, Ill.; and two brothers, Bill Young of Granite City, Ill., and Clifford Young of Metcalf, Ill.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McCrite Cemetery near Tamms, Ill., with the Rev. Anita Lidengood officiating.
