Violet Rose Wooden, 74, of Jackson died Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born July 31, 1937, in Cape Girardeau, to Carlos and Rose Elsie Stitch Nanna. She and Daniel W. Wooden were married Jan. 13, 1975. He died in 1993.
Wooden was a graduate of Central High School. She worked in food preparation with Hardee's in Cape Girardeau 15 years.
Survivors include a son, Daniel H. (Tonya) Wooden of Jackson; a daughter, Elizabeth Nanna; two brothers, George Nanna of Perryville, Mo., and Freddie Nanna of Shalamar, Fla.; a sister, Charolette Layman of Climate, Mo.; two grandchildren, Caleb and Emmalie.
She was preceded in death by three sisters.
Service was private.
