VIRGINIA A. CLARE

ORAN -- Virginia Ann Clare, 46, of Long Beach, Calif., formerly of Oran, died Thursday, May 21, 1992, at Memorial Hospital in Long Beach.

She was born March 16, 1946, in Denton, Texas, daughter of Horatio "Jim" and Hazel Phillips Clare. She married Isaiah Jan. 3, 1985.

Clare attended Oran schools and Southeast Missouri State University. She received a degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1969.

Soon after graduation she began work at McDonnell-Douglas in Long Beach, having worked in design engineering, flight test engineering, and sales promotion.

Survivors include her husband; father and stepmother, Mary, of Oran; two sisters, Linda Maxwell of Kansas City, and Margaret Nelson of Rio Rita, Guam.

She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.

Arrangements are incomplete in Long Beach.
