Wade was a teacher in Cape Girardeau 18 months and was a member of St. Mark's Chapter Order of Eastern Star. She had lived in Riverside 39 years.

Survivors include her husband, Jessie Wade; a daughter, Judith Thrift of Waldport, Ore.; a granddaughter; and six great-grandchildren.
