Wade Robert

KELSO, Mo. -- Wade Charles Robert, 84, of Kelso died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020, at his home.

He was born Dec. 8, 1935, in Kelso to Eugene P. and Irene Clara Schlosser Robert. He married Judith Marie Brockmire on April 26, 1984, in Kelso. She preceded him in death March 10, 2002.

Wade was a farmer. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso and American Legion in Sikeston, Missouri. He served eight years in the Army National Guard.

He is survived by two stepsons, Gary (Donna) McClard Jr. of Jackson and Chuck (Tracy) McClard of Cape Girardeau; stepdaughter, Teri (Rex) Carter of Kentucky; sister, Dottie (Arthur) Bruce of Oran, Missouri; niece, Laurie (Tom) Romas of Oran; and great-nephews, Michael, Cody, Christopher and Nicholas Romas.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with a parish rosary at 7 p.m., today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, with the Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
