Wesley R. DuPerier, 74, passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 4, 2016.

Wes retired as owner of Hearing Aid Centers in El Dorado, Kansas, after 38 years in the hearing-aid business.

Wes was a natural at everything he loved, especially golf, and competed in tournaments all over the country.

He grew up in Jasper, Texas, where he graduated high school, Class of '59. His dad's cafe, DuPeriers, was the favorite hangout. He was active playing baseball, basketball, football, track and golf. He also loved to fish and hunt.

Wes attended McNeese State University on a basketball and baseball scholarship, then worked several years as a golf pro in St. Louis and Jackson.

Wes is survived by his loving wife, Susan; children Michael (Penny) DuPerier, Lori Haertling, Eric DuPerier, Adam (Chas) DuPerier, Josh Ferry and Justin Ferry; and grandchildren Zack, Will, Megan, Dillon, Dru, Riley, Cambry, Camden, Wesley and Alex.

The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wes' name to the Alzheimer's Association, 1820 E. Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS 67214.
