MATTHEWS -- Willard E. Cude, 60, of Matthews, died Tuesday, June 2, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 20, 1932, in Tyronza, Ark., son of Elmer and Alice Davidson Cude. He and Flo E. Richardson were married Jan. 19, 1956, in Walnut Ridge, Ark.

Cude taught social studies at Matthews Junior High School 21 years. He also had taught at Arbyrd, Oran and Canalou junior high schools.

He was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church, Community Teachers Association, Parent Teachers Association, and Missouri State Teachers Association. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Bradley Cude of Sikeston; a daughter, Angela Richards of Sikeston; two brothers, Bill Cude of Orange, Texas, Joe Cude of Conroe, Texas; two sisters, Marvene Gipson of Pineland, Texas, Pauline Edwards of Jackson, Miss., and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Revs. Kelley Grubbs and Bob Richardson will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
