EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral for Willard D. Wilson of East Prairie will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Burl Britt will officiate. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
Wilson, 61, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born Feb. 1, 1939, in Caruthersville, son of Lawrence and Josie Mathis Wilson. He and Shirley Ann Matthews were married in 1969.
Wilson was a retired plumber and member of Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Willard Wilson Jr. of Dyersburg, Tenn., David Achter of East Prairie; four daughters, Martha Woods and Betty Wilson of Sikeston, Tammy and Renee Matthews of East Prairie; three sisters, Emma Kirby, Martha Brown and Margie McKnight, all of East Prairie; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and three brothers.
