PERRYVILLE -- William H. Allen, 88, of Perryville died Sunday, May 16, 1999, at Gracemont Care Services in Perryville.

Allen was born Aug. 12, 1910 at Mineral Wells, Texas, son of Walter E. and Diedama O. Smith Millfeldt Allen. He and Betty Tanner were married Dec. 22, 1967.

Allen was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church and a member of the Holy Name Society. Allen served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, AMVETS and a life member of the VFW.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Patricia Heaps of Perryville; two step-daughters, Mary Lou Heinrich of Canton, Ohio, and Patricia A. Shaw of Woodsfield, Ohio; a sister, Bertha Louise Goodwin of Fort Worth, Texas; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; nine step-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; and a step-great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake service will be at 7 p.m. followed by the VFW service at 7:30. Visitation also will be from 6:30 to 11:20 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be said at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Richard Lause officiating. Burial will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.
