William B. Schott, 89, 2731 Gordonville Road, died Monday, Jan. 3, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center. He was born May 6, 1904, at Apple Creek, son of Roman and Isabella Anselm Schott. He and Anna Lauck were married Nov. 5, 1928, at Apple Creek. Schott operated Appleton Garage, and in the late 1930s he was a wholesale beer distributor in Cape Girardeau and Perry counties. ...

William B. Schott, 89, 2731 Gordonville Road, died Monday, Jan. 3, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born May 6, 1904, at Apple Creek, son of Roman and Isabella Anselm Schott. He and Anna Lauck were married Nov. 5, 1928, at Apple Creek.

Schott operated Appleton Garage, and in the late 1930s he was a wholesale beer distributor in Cape Girardeau and Perry counties. He moved to Cape Girardeau in 1947 and in 1954 sold the Stag Beer distributorship. He was past president of Schott Electric Co., a family business.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, William, Harold and Robert Schott of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Dorothy Holland of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and seven sisters.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. Glenn Eftink and Deacon Charles Tichacek will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7, and KC rosary at 7:30.
