William "Bill" Charles Duty, 80, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 21, 1935, in Piggott, Arkansas, to William and Ida Mae Stewart Duty. He and Wanda Daugherty Duty were married May 3, 1957, in Commerce, Texas.

Duty was an Air Force retired master sergeant of 26 years.

Bill is survived by a son, Charles (Sharon) Duty of Union, Kentucky; a brother, Jim Duty of Piggott; a brother, Ray Duty of Piggott; and grandchildren Samantha and William Duty.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda, in 2013; a daughter, Jacquelyn in 1959; a brother, Edward; and a sister, Kay.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Memorial donations may be made to The Humane Society of the United States.
