Memorial service for William Sisbower of Cape Girardeau will be held at 4 p.m. today at Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson. The Rev. Sam Roethemeyer will officiate. Burial will be later in Oak Hill Cemetery in Southington, Conn.

There is no visitation.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sisbower, 85, died Monday, Oct. 28, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Feb. 28, 1911, in East Orange, N.J., son of George Franklin and Minnie Madeline Middleditch Sisbower. He and Theda Dickerman were married April 18, 1936, in Plantsville, Conn.

Sisbower attended Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. He had been a senior trust officer at Hartford Bank and Trust. He also had been secretary and director of Norden Labs Corp. and Norden Instruments Inc. He retired in 1974. Sisbower was a member of North Congregational Church in Woodbury, Conn.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Elizabeth Bush of Warsaw, Va., Deborah Lingwood of Jackson, Elaine Anderson of Longmont, Colo.; a brother, Thomas Sisbower of West Hartford, Conn.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.
