SIKESTON -- Zella Naomi McMillen, 89, of Sikeston died Monday, March 10, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 20, 1907, in Formosa, Ark., daughter of Charles W. and Melissa Scroggins Shipp. She and Dee McMillen were married Dec. 11, 1926, in Conway County, Ark. He died Jan. 27, 1985.
McMillen had been a hostess and waitress at Travel Lodge Motel. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jack McMillen of Hopkinsville, Ky.; two daughters, Athleen Knapp of Easton, Conn., Polly Lewis of Sikeston; two sisters, Stella Pearson of Sikeston, Alta Sealey of Alameda, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, sister and a great-grandson.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at the chapel at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Ted Wimberley officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
