As one who participated in overcoming the threat posed by legalized gambling to our community, I was grateful to see the Southeast Missourian's editorial stance on that issue change to one of non-support over the past few years. I am wondering why, then, you chose to accept a major advertising supplement from the gambling industry in the Feb. 25 issue. Please have the courage to exercise your responsibility in a way that reflects the admirable beliefs of the paper's leadership.
