More than $25,000 raised from the concert was presented to the Kennett Education Center Foundation. The money will be used to establish scholarships and grants for students who plan to attend the Kennett center and later apply their skills in the area.

Crow, whose singing has brought her numerous awards, is always a big attraction when she comes to town. The people of Kennett can be proud of her as a performer and as a person for helping raise money for such a worthy cause.

Too often, big-name entertainers lose their roots and gravitate to glitzy show-biz meccas. Sheryl Crow is still a Kennett girl, and proud of it.
