This has been an exciting time to be a Central football, Southeast Redhawk and a Notre Dame ladies softball fan.

I'm a Notre Dame Regional High School graduate, but I truly enjoy and appreciate all the schools who have had such great seasons. The success of these Southeast Missouri teams is not only evident to those of us who live in Cape Girardeau County and the surrounding area, but Southeast Missouri is beginning to show the larger school districts in St. Louis and Kansas City that we are ready to compete.

Congratulations and many thanks to all the coaches, staff, students and parents who sacrifice much during the season and through the rest of the year. Your dedication brings more than just a win. It teaches confidence, character, work ethic, discipline, rules of fair play and the secret of working as a team, all lifelong lessons.

I wish you all good luck as the district tournaments are just around the corner. Again, thank you for a wonderful season.
