Southeast Missouri State University recently announced the addition of a new program called DegreeWorks. The program was designed to help students stay on track in their academic program and graduate in four years.

The new program, which started this summer, offers many features for users, both faculty advisers and students, to see what degree requirements have been met for the students' majors and minors, monitor their courses in progress and be aware of the requirements still needed. The "what if" scenarios are also available for students to access should they change their major.

The real-time access users will have to this program should expedite the degree planning process for students.

Southeast was also nationally recognized recently for its master of business administration program.

The Princeton Review included Southeast in their 2011 publication, "The Best 300 Business Schools." The Southeast program was referred to as a "top-notch education at an affordable price."

These are positive signs for the university. Southeast graduates are being well prepared to enter the work force of the 21st century.
