Trumpism

Even if Donald Trump or Ted Cruz don't win the presidency, Trumpism is here to stay and that, my friends, may some day soon spell the end of our republic.

Raised eyebrows

I hope there are enough eyebrows raised to cut this action off at the knees as Barack Obama gets ready to use his executive order to attack our right to bear arms. His agenda is crystal clear to those with any common sense: to disarm America. His warped view of going after people who have a constitutional right to purchase and own guns will leave only those who unlawfully bear arms with guns. The bad guys will always find a way to get guns, but obviously those aren't the ones Obama is worried about. I am 59 years old and do not own a gun, but with this recent executive garbage, I plan to purchase one.

Statue removal

As statues of Confederate generals/officers are now being removed from their resting places, maybe we should consider removing Union statues as well; then we can all pretend the Civil War never happened.

Voting changes

Why? It would be interesting to know the reason of changing the location of the voters at Arena Park as it has been that way for many years.

Christian hostility

Why so hostile to Muslims, Christians? Islam has been no more violent than Christianity. In fact they are exactly the same. Get used to it.

Undue burden

Let me make sure I have this right. It is not an undue burden on law abiding citizens to make them have a photo ID to cast a ballot which they could wad up and throw at someone, but it is an undue burden to make them get a background check to buy a gun that they could shoot someone with. We live in interesting times.

Tomorrow

Who knows what tomorrow will bring? The recent area flooding throughout the area should be proof positive that our mayors are way too goal-oriented.

What's this?

The Republican controlled U.S. House is proposing to bail out Volkswagen in the U.S. by passing legislation prohibiting Volkswagen owners from suing the company for its disgusting duplicity. I thought conservative Republicans would rail against this sneaky kind of back-door subsidy.
