I read with interest where "Obama calls for tougher Internet regulations." Why in the world doesn't he call for tougher regulations on these political calls? Unwarranted, unwanted. All the telemarketer calls, and now this stupid survey call that has harassed me every day for the last week-and-a-half on how I voted. Well, it's none of your business. But it's time to stop. I put my personal phone in for my personal business, not for theirs. So don't call me again...

Regulate callers

I read with interest where "Obama calls for tougher Internet regulations." Why in the world doesn't he call for tougher regulations on these political calls? Unwarranted, unwanted. All the telemarketer calls, and now this stupid survey call that has harassed me every day for the last week-and-a-half on how I voted. Well, it's none of your business. But it's time to stop. I put my personal phone in for my personal business, not for theirs. So don't call me again.

Lies, politics

George W. Bush did not lie to us, because the things he said, he believed to be true. When he said that he thought there were weapons of mass destruction, he believed it. He was telling what he believed to be the truth. Then, Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton lied to us repeatedly, and he even lost his law license for lying under oath to the court. But when Bill Clinton lied to us, it was fun. It was almost like a comedian. We enjoyed Bill Clinton lying to us. Now, our new president, President Obama, he lies to us. But when he lies it's not fun. And he's lying to bring socialism to the United States. We don't need that type of lies. Let's go back to the old type of lies, like Bill Clinton.

Local gas prices

I would prefer to spend my dollars in Cape Girardeau. The local taxes could be benefiting the local area. But as long as the very few owners of all the gas stations hold the price of gas 10 to 12 cents a gallon higher than everywhere else, every surrounding community, I will be forced to buy gasoline in those towns.

Pinked out

Yes, I don't know about the rest of the world, but I know Southeast Missouri is sure sick of seeing the "pink-up" days. It's supposed to be one month of the "pink up." Don't they realize breast cancer is one of the most treatable of the cancers? I have ovarian cancer. I have fibroid cystic disease that could turn into breast cancer. But you don't hear anything about cancer on the whole. Cancer is purple, not pink. The color of cancer is purple. Maybe the Southeast Missourian and KFVS-TV in particular should start purpling up for all cancer, not just for men or for women, but for everybody with cancer.

Naked truth

Anyone can pose nude on the Internet. It doesn't mean you're a celebrity. It just means you're ignorant.

Manger scene

Thank you, Southeast Hospital, for the beautiful manger scene, year after year.

Buck shot

What is wrong with the Missourian that they would bring people's attention to that beautiful white buck? They are just asking for somebody to shoot it. How stupid can you be?
