Strategic plan praise

I was thrilled to learn the Jackson School District is finally developing a strategic plan to spend our $55 million annual budget. Where have you been all our lives, Dr. Link?

Lost cause

The U.S. Supreme Court has already ruled that you can't force someone to pay a tax on an illegal substance. Yet, along comes Sen. Wayne Wallingford, wasting valuable taxpayer time and money by proposing to do just that. I'm sure he'll get some posturing points for this but will have accomplished nothing substantive to deal in a serious way with new and thoughtful ways to address the problems associated with drug abuse, since the so-called war on drugs has already been lost.

Legalizing torture

Some say Donald Trump has vowed to legalize torture but I don't believe there is any possible way he could force people to read Speak Out.

Born gay

People are born gay. So true, so true. Not a lifestyle choice.

Fox News

I never thought it would become apparent that Fox News would be considered part of the establishment but that, my Speak Out friends, is the case.
