Obama and Gitmo

THANK you, President Obama, for keeping Gitmo open and indefinitely detaining accused terrorists without trial. You will get my vote and support just like I voted for and supported President George W. Bush.

THE reason why our economy is in this shape is because the government gave the big companies a tax cut to take our jobs overseas, good workers couldn't be found in the states, and people who own the businesses are greedy.

Grading issue

Why are the local schools changing the grading scale we are all use to? Instead of A's, B's and C's, they are using numbers, everything is done in class and no graded papers are sent home. I want to see my child's work, and children also want to see a letter grade. I think a child feels better about themselves with seeing an A or B rather than 1, 2 or 3.

Downtown eyesore

WHAT'S up with downtown? In successive weeks, I've seen broken benches laying in the streets, huge piles of trash in the alleyways, trash cans sitting in front of buildings, and someone gathering up beer bottles from the courthouse lawn. This week it was impossible to walk down the sidewalk of Main Street without stepping in broken glass.
