Parents need to realize that the district offices are not replacing certified staff even in the core subjects and should realize that classes will be much larger next year because, hey, the students will have computers and teachers will not be needed to teach in the way they have previously...

Concerning the current school district's 1:1 initiative. Parents need to realize that the district offices are not replacing certified staff even in the core subjects and should realize that classes will be much larger next year because, hey, the students will have computers and teachers will not be needed to teach in the way they have previously.

Official language

I would like to make a comment on a comment in Speak Out, "Where is ACLU?" Actually, I think he's kind of half right. I personally think we live in America. The melting pot has decided that English is the national language. So I feel it should not be printed in any language other than English. No Spanish. No Chinese. Nothing, other than English. If you live in America, you learn to speak English. We are expected to speak French or German when we go to their countries.

I was just reading in the Missourian about the researchers who say they spotted evidence that all the newly formed universe ballooned out at a pace that was astonishing. Oh, I tell you, what's astonishing to me is I've got a book here. It's called the Holy Bible. And my Bible is God's Word, and it tells me that God spoke and this world came into existence. He created the heavens and the earth. There was nothing made that wasn't made by God. How can these scientists not understand this? I don't know. I praise God. I thank Him. Thank you, Lord.

Those who don't want to tap into America's vast oil reserves point out that it would take 10 years to actually get any oil from these massive oil reserves. They've been saying this for over 20 years.

Curbside service

Since April is going to be cleanup Cape month, why don't we make it our curbside pick-up-large-items month. That way all the "pickers" would have four Wednesdays in April to cover the area instead of doing it year round.
