** Billionaires

The billionaire battle is on for the Republican nomination for the presidency! The Koch brothers have chosen Scott Walker. Sheldon Adelson has picked Marco Rubio. Other billionaires are yet to decide. Anyway, best of luck to them all and may the one with the most money win!

** Spinmeister

Byron York, bodacious spinmeister for the extremist right wing Washington Times, recently raised the question as to why the Democratic Party's political candidates are so old? I'm surprised young York would raise such a question because it's a compliment to the Democratic Party for learning the wisdom of running middle aged and above candidates, like the Republicans did with Ronald Reagan.

** Silent Christians

The time has come for the silent Christian community to speak out. Christians have never "forced their views" on anyone. They have the right to free speech in this country, so they can voice their beliefs. But now our military is on the brink of removing that freedom. A Navy chaplain who faces the end of a stellar 19-year career because of his faith-based views on marriage and human sexuality was told by a base commander to refrain from offering a prayer in the name of Jesus, according to attorneys representing the chaplain. So they are going to let you pray, but not in the name of Jesus. Our founding fathers are most definitely rolling over in their graves.

** Drunk driving

A son of Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul has been cited for driving under the influence of alcohol in Kentucky. However, he was not arrested. Even after hitting a parked car.

** Appearance

Well, I guess I answered my own question as to where our president is. He is on the news this morning, finally, after all the Baltimore riots and looting and everything else, when he couldn't go on TV to tell them to stop. He just said that justice needs to be served this morning. So, I guess he is judge, jury and everybody for these six police officers who have been charged in this.

** Texting

Missouri's shame! To allow texting while driving over the age of 21 is just plain stupid. Legislators please get your act together and ban this for all ages.

** Paying for oversight

I'm calling about the story where the Cape School District is going to pay this fellow $1,500 a month to oversee their remodeling project. Surely there's someone within the district that's capable of doing that. Why do we have to hire somebody outside the district to do that? I think they ought to take another look at that situation.
