Preposterous blame
I don't think terrorism can be blamed on Obama or Bush. It's the times we're living in. The unrest of the '60s wasn't Johnson's fault. Looking back, this is the closest the country has come to another Civil War. It's amazing we made it through those times. To blame either president is preposterous; it's reflective of the times we live in. We have a bunch of idiots out there wanting to do evil.
Mentally ill, guns
I heard that prisons are full of "normal" people, but all it takes is one time for them to do something abnormal to end up in prison. I don't agree with the caller who said the Boston bombers were mentally ill. They just hated America, plain and simple. I'm more worried about mentally ill people and people who plan dastardly acts more than gun control. I think reasonable gun control is a good idea.
Fireworks
I agree with the caller, the casino money should be used for fireworks for the Fourth of July.
Concerts vs. rodeos
I was wondering why we can't have any concerts in the area. Why is it we get rodeos and circuses, and that's not on most of my level of entertainment. Please bring back the concerts.

No, no and no
I saw the county said sales tax could be lowered. I doubt it will get lowered, and I doubt our sewer rates will go down either. We need to vote "no" on every tax and teach this town a lesson.
Fido stamps
I saw something on TV about food stamps for dogs. That's ridiculous, if you can't afford to feed your dog, you shouldn't have one.
Syria support
I can't believe I'm saying this as a Democrat. I don't want to see the U.S. give any aid to Syria. No good will come of it. If we do, they will do nothing but complain about one thing or another. I'm sure we'll bring refugees and their families over here and [they] will become terrorist jihadists who will kill our people. Let them kill each other and that will be the best thing for them. Leave them to themselves and stay out of the area.
Bridge question
I agree with the person who spoke out about the Allenville bridge. That is a perfect waste and neglect of a perfectly good bridge. It reminds me of Jackson not wanting to fund their library and letting it close. If the county would have supported the railroad it would still be running. People don't care about history.
Flights, mail
I just had a comment about the FAA. I read that the Senate passed the bill to ease flight delays and the furloughs and passed a hurry-up bill, something most people use little. The postal service is used by everyone and the Senate can't get a vote in before recess. Congress can do anything they want when they want to. It's a shame they've let the postal service fall into the state it is in for the last two years now.
Dog park
Only in the minds of the craziest left leanings democrats, like the ones in the Cape Girardeau City Council, could an idea like a dog park take priority over additional police force. Are they crazy? I hope the people are watching the stupid decisions they make come election time.
