I am absolutely disgusted by the fact that all students in our district will receive free breakfast and lunch for the next four years. We all know who is footing the bill for that, and I'm tired of hard-working people's tax dollars being used as handouts for those who choose to have children they cannot afford and who choose not to take care of the children they give birth to. ...
No free meals
I am absolutely disgusted by the fact that all students in our district will receive free breakfast and lunch for the next four years. We all know who is footing the bill for that, and I'm tired of hard-working people's tax dollars being used as handouts for those who choose to have children they cannot afford and who choose not to take care of the children they give birth to. These people fail to realize that these handouts do not give them freedom; in their ignorance, they fail to see that such a system lulls them into a lifestyle of dependence on others.
Morality check
Republicans criticizing any other party over morals is laughable after the last couple of years. Philanderers, adultery, porn stars, child molesters. They should start doing things to govern, and get off their fake high horses.
Focus!
This comment is directed toward the white Ford Focus who ran two vehicles off the road on highway 177 traveling toward Fruitland on Monday at 4:30pm. Your car isn't fast enough to pass people, and the speed limit is 55 mph. You ran an oncoming semi truck off the road and a white truck that you were trying to pass. Think about what you're doing!

No such thing
Josh Crowell with the Cape Girardeau School District stated that the district's students will receive free lunches for the next four years. These meals may be at no cost to the students but they are not free. They are funded with taxpayer dollars.
Theft prevention
It is certainly heartbreaking and upsetting to see the news revealing periodically some business or organization that an employee or volunteer has stolen from. However, I have had a business and worked for two Fortune 500 companies and my father was an executive bank officer. All of this begs the question each time, "Don't these victims have an accountant to review their books or arrange for independent audit?" And, each time this happens, why don't others learn from someone's misfortune and protect themselves? A wise business manager always said out of ten people, one will be solidly honest and one totally dishonest. The other eight will vacillate with temptation, usually giving in given the opportunity.
