Employer's folly

When will employers learn that driving employees to work ridiculously long hours, withholding any recognition or praise for a job well done, allowing no flexibility or balance between home and personal life, and constantly threatening termination does not make for better employees or greater accomplishments? This kind of treatment only leads to mass exodus from establishments; and although new, less experienced (i.e. cheaper) employees can be hired, the company's reputation in the community is damaged and the loss of experienced personnel means less work, not more, will get done.

Parks and Rec

Julia Thompson and her Cape Parks and Rec staff are the most hardworking and effective group one could hope for. They make those who go the extra mile seem lazy. Leave it to a woefully misinformed Speak Out caller to claim that they do even more. Though they are already stretched to the maximum and beyond, all Cape Parks and Rec management and staff are professionals and always work with smiles on their faces.
