CLINTON IS about to use his mockery on the American people again. His arrogance will be shown by his lying to the American people again by putting American troops in Yugoslavia so he can occupy another Balkan country. He is the instigator of this war. Looking for a trophy

CLINTON IS about to use his mockery on the American people again. His arrogance will be shown by his lying to the American people again by putting American troops in Yugoslavia so he can occupy another Balkan country. He is the instigator of this war. Clinton declared war on this small, Balkan country to get a win in his cap, a legacy. He is a disgrace to America. This war is Clinton's political attempt to prove he's supreme ruler and to satisfy his ego because of his impeachment humiliation.

Method to his madness

LET'S GET down to the nitty gritty. How does this war Bill Clinton started with Yugoslavia benefit you or yours today? Even more, how will it benefit anybody in this country in the future? You should call you senators if you don't want to be annihilated. There is a method to Clinton's madness, and it's one of two things. Either he's trying to take the focus off of his illegal campaign money from China, or he's trying to copy Roosevelt by continuing this botched-up war so we dare not change horses in the middle of the stream thereby giving him another term in office. There is nothing original about Bill Clinton or his ill-conceived ideas and tactics.

No price tag

THIS IS concerning the Speak Out comment on the subject of the Wingo child. I think it's cold and completely insensitive for someone to be so concerned about their tax dollars going for the treatment of a 4-year-old autistic child. I wonder how that person would feel if it were his child. You can't put a price tag on a child's life.

Lots of campuses

ACCORDING TO a Southeast Missourian editorial, with Dr. Dale Nitzschke at the helm of Southeast Missouri State University, "anything is possible." I agree wholeheartedly. Under Nitzschke's leadership, I don't think it's too much of a stretch that SEMO will have a River Campus, a campus in Kansas City and a satellite campus on Saturn.

Clinton doing a good job

IN TODAY'S paper, it tells about the low unemployment, the lowest it's been in 30 years. Why can't people realize that Clinton is doing a magnificent job? The country is in the best economy it's been in years. Things are going good. Let's keep it going that way. At least accept the idea that Clinton is doing a good job.

There goes Social Security

WELL, THERE goes saving Social Security. Any real or imagined budget surplus is obviously going to pay for Bill "There Is No Shame in Impeachment" Clinton and Madeline "Half"bright's war in Europe to save face. Get ready, senior citizens, because you also are going to sacrifice. Our money will still be going to Europe long after Medicare and Social Security are cut and probably after you are dead.

Open your eyes and heart

I WOULD like to make a comment on the person who called in about special funding on children with disabilities. Obviously this person does not have a child with a learning problem or physical handicap. My husband and I both work full-time to make ends meet. Our son has attention deficit disorder. If it wasn't for our schools offering special education classes, he would be very much behind. I also know many other places in our school district where there are single parents who have to provide for their families and cannot do home teaching. If you do have a child with a learning or physical handicap, it would take years of training and schooling just teach your child alone. The Missouri school system has always provided special education for children, not just the above-average children. So open your eyes and your heart to the future generation, because the help they get as children will make them a better, hard-working adult who will eventually end up paying your Social Security benefits in the future.

Think about donating organs

I WAS in the hospital last week when I noticed a button on one of the nurse's uniforms. It said, "Don't take you organs to heaven. Heaven knows we need them here." Maybe we all should think about organ donating.

Ignoring generals' advice

I WANT to comment about the conduct of this war we've got going against Yugoslavia. According to the London Times, Clinton is ignoring the advice of his generals. They told him, "Don't have these air strikes unless you put in ground troops. Otherwise the Serbs will attack these Kosovars and run them completely out of Kosovo." That's exactly what's happened. Now Clinton is trying the same thing as LBJ: Just up the ante a little at a time, a little more pressure, and maybe it will do the job. Now it looks like for sure he's going to have to put in ground troops. So we can get the body bags started just like old LBJ did.

Mixed signals

DAVID LIMBAUGH, in a recent column, left me with the impression that he doesn't think keeping the NATO alliance viable and projecting American power in situations like Kosovo are crucial. On the one hand, he criticized Republican isolationists like Pat Buchanan and attempted to create the false impression that he is an anomaly in the GOP. On the other hand, he has come off sounding not all that different from Buchanan.

Fighting for rights

I WAS reading the Speak Out comment about "Unfair to other students." I'm the mother of twin daughters who are disabled. I don't know why this person thinks that he is paying for all the costs of educating a handicapped child. My and my husband work. We pay for it too. I believe if the caller knew handicapped children, he'd understand. Handicapped children are not getting all the education they deserve. The caller's child is getting an education and getting to play sports and participate in music. The parents of disabled children have to fight for their rights.

Special education works

I WENT through special education, and I've done quite well. I've married a good person. I've got two beautiful children. I have my own home and my own vehicle to drive. My son goes to special education, and I have been working with him since he was six weeks old. I've had him to the professors up at the college and a doctor here in town. He's making A's and B's, and he is only six months behind the regular classroom students. If anyone is having problems with the public schools, there are private schools you can send your kids to.

It's time to unite

IN RESPONSE to the person who asked, "How can we believe the president because he lied about extramarital affair?" This is a new ballgame. The man was found not guilty by the U.S. Senate, so please put it behind us. Let's back him up. He's our president. This is a conflict, almost war. So let's put our political feelings, Democrat or Republican, aside. Let's unite together. Let's back the president of the United States. This man we're fighting is a butcher. His people are behind him. Let's be patriotic. Let's be Americans first.
