ANNIVERSARIES: STONES MARK GOLDEN EVENT

Mr. and Mrs. William C. Stone Sr. of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 50th anniversary with a dinner at Reid's Harvest House in Chester, Ill.

Hosts were their children: Mr. and Mrs. Michael Harrison, Mr. and Mrs. David Fox, Mr. and Mrs. William C. Stone Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Gary Laurentius, and Michael Stone.

Stone and Wilma Petzoldt were married May 19, 1951, in Pocahontas, Ark.

He retired from Perryville School District 32, where he taught welding 16 1/2 years. He was previously in law enforcement and construction.

Mrs. Stone is a registered nurse and retired from Chateau Girardeau Health Center in 1999.

The couple has 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
