Blattels mark anniversaries

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Blattel Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Blattel Jr., all of Chaffee, celebrated their 50th and 25th anniversaries, respectively, Oct. 20, 2001.

The Rev. Fred Lutz celebrated the mass with the renewal of vows at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Advance, Mo.

The Blattels Sr. were honored at a reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Advance. Hosts were their children.

Blattel Sr. and Loretta Jansen were married Oct. 27, 1951, at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, Mo., by the Rev. Henry Wiessman.

Their attendants were Cornelius and Irene Blattel Sr. and Robert and Jane Jansen.

They have four children: Herbert Blattel Jr., Janie Kidd, LaDonna Adams and Bob Blattel, all of Chaffee. They have 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Following mass, the Blattels Jr. celebrated with a dinner and dance. Hosts were their children and grandchildren.

Blattel Jr. and Wanda Marie Enderle were married Oct. 23, 1976, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church by the Rev. Raymond Kunkel.

They have four children: Amy White of Advance, Andrew Blattel of Delta, Mo., Lucas and Cody Blattel of Chaffee. They have two grandsons, Austin and Cameron White.
