Colyer and Marilyn "Mitzi" Flowerday were married July 8, 1961, at the United Church of Christ in Seward, Neb., by the Rev. John Ekwall.

Matron of honor was Judy Flowerday Nagel. Bridesmaids were Peggy Colyer Evans, Jean Scherger Weiss and Maureen Flowerday Dunn. Ron Colyer was best man. Groomsmen were Marvin Colyer, Nade Weiss and Val Pacilla.

The Colyers have three children, Capt. Tim (Cathie) Colyer of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Randy (Angie) Colyer of McClure, and Lori (Brad) Pender of Reynoldsville, Ill. They have six grandchildren, Trenton (Megan) Colyer, Austin Pender, Sean Colyer, Casey Colyer, Kristin Pender and Caitlyn Colyer.
