50 years ago: Nov. 25, 1953

Henry I. Hahn, 46, switchman for Frisco Railroad, is instantly killed when he is caught between moving coal car on switch track and brick side of Missouri Utilities Co. power plant; there is no witness to accident, and no way to tell exactly how it happened.

Wilferd Ressell, 30, employee of Pipkin-Boyd-Neal Packing Co., was seriously injured yesterday when berserk, 1,400-pound Hereford bull charged into him.

75 years ago: Nov. 25, 1928

The Rev. W. Wittrock is formally installed as new pastor of Hanover Lutheran Church; the Rev. F.H. Melzer, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, who has been supplying Hanover pulpit since resignation of the Rev. A.H.G. Wagner, conducts service.

Joseph "Dep" Barenkamp, manager of Cape Girardeau baseball teams for many years, is being considered as possible manager for minor league club next season.
