Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth P. Peters of Jackson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 3, 2010.

Their children and grandchildren honored them with a card shower, involving more than 80 participants. The couple, their children and grandchildren spent the holiday weekend at Kentucky Lake.

Peters and Mary Brennac were married Sept. 3, 1960, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington, Mo.

They have four children, Mary Kay (Michael) Hecht of Jackson, Mindy (Shawn) Tihen of St. Peters, Mo., Michael Peters of Cape Girardeau, and Matthew (Jami) Peters of Jackson. They have six grandchildren, Lauren and Jordan Hecht, Madeline, Hailey and Owen Tihen, and Kylie Peters.
