Frank and Nelda Wilkinson of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 26, 2015, with a dinner at the West Baden Springs Hotel in French Lick, Indiana. Celebrating with them were the couple's sons, daughters-in-law and some of their grandchildren.

Parents of the couple were Leslie and Louise Slinkard Wilkinson and John F. and Ercy Brown Mayfield.

Wilkinson and the former Nelda Mayfield were married Nov. 26, 1955, at the Church of Christ in Marble Hill, Missouri. The service was conducted by Leo Thurston and attendants were Russell and Alene Mayfield Cook, sister and brother-in-law of the bride.

The couple has two sons, Ricke (Suzann) Wilkinson of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, and Randy (Linda) Wilkinson of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, Jessica (Jeremy) Myers of Valparaiso, Florida, Jordan (Isabel) Wilkinson of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, Danny Wilkinson of Floyds Knobs, Katelyn Wilkinson of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Justine Wilkinson, living with them in their hearts; two step-grandchildren, Amy and Grace Hanebrink of Cape Girardeau; and three great-grandchildren, Jaelynn, Jackson and Julia Myers.
