The sixth annual Perry County Community Rodeo begins tonight and concludes Saturday at East Perry Fair Grounds in Altenburg, Mo.
Pre-rodeo activities begin at 6:30 p.m. each evening and the competition starts at 7:30.
Competition includes bareback bronc riding, barrel racing, bull riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding and team roping.
Also on tap this weekend:
* The 17th annual Youth Catch and Release Fishing Day at Capaha Park is scheduled for 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
* The 11th annual Tywappity Trails 5-kilometer run is Saturday, covering a trail around Lake Tywappity.
* The annual Hershey's Youth Track and Field Local Meet is set for 9 a.m, Saturday at Central Junior High.
* The Morley Baptist Church is sponsoring a 3-on-3 basketball tournament at Scott County Central.
* The American Poolplayers Association's annual 8-ball regional tournament is today through Sunday at the A.C. Brase Arena Building with 99 teams bidding for four spots in the national tournament in Las Vegas.
