The sixth annual Perry County Community Rodeo begins tonight and concludes Saturday at East Perry Fair Grounds in Altenburg, Mo. The sixth annual Perry County Community Rodeo begins tonight and concludes Saturday at East Perry Fair Grounds in Altenburg, Mo.

Pre-rodeo activities begin at 6:30 p.m. each evening and the competition starts at 7:30.

Competition includes bareback bronc riding, barrel racing, bull riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding and team roping.

* The 17th annual Youth Catch and Release Fishing Day at Capaha Park is scheduled for 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

* The 11th annual Tywappity Trails 5-kilometer run is Saturday, covering a trail around Lake Tywappity.

* The annual Hershey's Youth Track and Field Local Meet is set for 9 a.m, Saturday at Central Junior High.

* The Morley Baptist Church is sponsoring a 3-on-3 basketball tournament at Scott County Central.

* The American Poolplayers Association's annual 8-ball regional tournament is today through Sunday at the A.C. Brase Arena Building with 99 teams bidding for four spots in the national tournament in Las Vegas.
