Stilley team wins Dalhousie Cup

The team of Jason Stilley, Leann Stilley, Stacia Smith and Kim Birch won the Dalhousie Cup by two strokes.

The foursome shot a 125 in the two-best ball format that featured three female amateurs and a club professional on each team.

Jack Connell, Deanna Estes, Mary Jane Eftink and Carol Largent finished second at 127. Steve Spray, Ginny Orthwein, Ann Scott and Carl Ann Jones placed third at 131.

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Jane Hays (No. 11) and Robin Davis (No. 13).

Fliege, Schmittzehe win Safe House 5K

Paul Fliege and Ashley Schmittzehe were the overall winners at the the Safe House for Women 5K.

Fliege, of Jackson, posted a winning time of 17 minutes, 42 seconds. Schmittzehe, of Cape Girardeau, led the female finishers in 20:27.
