Scott nabs bronze at Paralympic Games

Cape Girardeau native Susan Beth Scott finished third to earn a bronze medal in the 400-meter freestyle S10 classification Wednesday at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London.

Scott touched the wall in 4 minutes, 37 seconds.

Scott was sixth in the 100-meter backstroke Tuesday. Her time was 1 minute, 12.04 seconds.

Scott also won a silver medal earlier in the competition as a member of the U.S.'s 400-meter relay squad.

Dow, Lind, Williams win Chip-A-Ways event

Sharon Dow, Christie Lind and Linda Williams placed first in A flight at the Chip-A-Ways' event Tuesday.

Edna Estes, Vickie Howard and Cathy Kapfer won B flight.
