NASCAR simulator coming to Jackson

A NASCAR Nextel racing simulator will be at the Jackson branch of The Bank of Missouri on Friday and Saturday.

The simulator will be open between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. both days at the bank, located at 233 W. Jackson Blvd.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority.

Judo event planned for today at Southeast

The SEMO Judo Club's second annual "joshi judo" class, a seminar for women only, is set for 2 p.m. today at the South Student Recreation Center on Broadway.

The class covers self-defense, competition and kata (ceremonial) judo techniques. Eiko Shepherd of St. Louis will be the guest instructor.
