Pingel named all-conference in basketball

Perryville native Scott Pingel is at it again.

After earning Division III All-American football honors as a wide receiver at Westminster College in Fulton, Pingel joined the basketball team and was named to the second team of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic All-Conference basketball squad.

Pingel, a 6-foot-1 sophomore forward, averaged 10.3 points, six rebounds and 3.5 assists a game. He was the second leading scorer and rebounder for the Blue Jays, who finished 7-17 overall and fourth in the conference with a 7-7 mark.

Pingel is a 1995 graduate of St. Vincent High School.
