Southeast Missouri State University baseball player Lanson Debrock has been named the co-pitcher of the week in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Debrock, a senior out of Notre Dame High School, hurled a complete-game, four-hit shutout Saturday as the Indians beat Middle Tennessee 2-0. The right-hander struck out six in seven innings and retired the final 13 batters of the game.

For the season, Debrock is 6-3 with a 2.60 earned-run average.

Debrock shared the honor with Eastern Illinois' John Larson, who tossed a nine-inning, four-hit shutout Saturday against Tennessee Tech. Larson fanned 10 and walked one.

The OVC player of the week is Eastern Kentucky's Jason Sharp, who batted .700 (7-for-10) with three home runs and eight runs batted in over the weekend as the league-leading Colonels took two of three from Morehead State.

Southeast returns to action today with a 3 p.m. home game against non-conference foe Missouri Baptist. The Indians are 20-8 while the Spartans are 26-13.
